Researching Illustrators!- Emma Leonard
Melbournian artist Emma Leonard's work jumped out at me when I saw her illustration of the backstage image from an Anna and boy show, which was in Russh a few years ago. A striking image of a red nailed, lipped and bangled woman wielding a camera.
Looking at her other work continued to impress me, the strong, clear lines contrasted with the soft watercolour is really effective!

Oh Assessment 1...the things you've taught me
1. Layer -> stroke = really handy to clarify interposed images.
2. Grids are really useful for colour swatches on templates.
3. Sometimes printing in RGB works.
4. Test prints are really important, in case there's tiny errors you hadn't seen on the screen.
5. Making images brighter really improves overall aesthetic...
