Digital Assessment 2- poster reflection.

The comments on my last assessment were helpful in directing the images for this task. It was suggested more depth be added, in the background and in the hair. This is why I used slightly transparent background location images, hand drew the hair in 'Full Bloom,' and used layers of indigo to bring depth to the poses.

This assignment made me more familiar with using Illustrator, and I enjoyed the ability to use keyboard shortcuts, including: I for eyedropper, V for selection tool, A for white selection tool, L for ellipse, P for pen tool, + and - to add and subtract anchor points.

It was good to practise creating symbols, particularly for the jewellery in 'For the Better,' and the studs in 'Just for Fun.'

Scanning the hair in for 'Full bloom' was a helpful option. when i tried to do pen tooled sections of hair in different shades of light, then go over them with brush tool to make it look like hair, it just looked strange.

It was good to practise using text within a document. Finding good fonts, deciding on text hierarchy and colour, were important. The research document was informative in terms of seeing what is on the market, and what works and does not.

After completing this assignment, when i see beautiful fashion images online, i want to put them into Illustrator and draw them!!
