Googling 'celebrity fashion' comes up with 66 million results!! I actually own a book by Rachel Zoe called Style A to Zoe: The art of fashion, beauty & everything glamour. (2007)Looking back over it I am struck by the similarities. Zoe says "When I sit down with clients we determine whose style they'd love to borrow elements from and we discuss why. For Mischa Barton we've tapped Twiggy and Peggy Lipton." p 12 She advises the reader to collect images of their favourite icons and looks, to build an inspiration file. Zoe includes case studies of her celebrity clients, encouraging the reader to come into this desirable world of glamour. Websites like WhoWhatWear are built around making celebrity and runways style available to readers with suggested purchases, trend forecasts, celebrity trend analysis and styling advice.
